Terms of Use

1. The service

Ayeta is an app that answers your questions with verses of the Quran and offers reading, listening, memorization, prayer and khatm tools. Some features are free and some require a premium subscription; the current split is shown on the subscription screen in the app.

2. Not a fatwa; AI summaries

Ayeta does not issue religious rulings (fatwas) and does not replace a scholar. For rulings, inheritance, divorce, the validity of acts of worship and similar matters, consult your local mufti or a scholar you trust.

Verse text and translations are shown from verified sources. Explanations such as "why this verse", summaries and "explain simply" are generated by AI based on the commentary sources shown, and are labelled "summarized by AI". Although carefully checked, they may be wrong or incomplete; if you see a mistake, tell us with "report". Where schools of thought differ, no single view is presented as the only correct one.

In a crisis (for example thoughts of harming yourself) the app shows you a helpline; Ayeta is not a crisis service. In an emergency, call your country's emergency number.

3. Account

When you start, the app creates an anonymous account tied to your device. If you link Apple or Google, you can use your account on other devices. You are responsible for the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Ayeta.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is taken by the Apple App Store or Google Play and their terms apply.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, the paid period starts unless you cancel before the trial ends. To cancel or manage: on iPhone, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

Refund requests are subject to the refund policy of the relevant store. You can move your purchases to a new device with "Restore purchases" in the app.

Premium is subject to fair-use limits (for example at most 150 questions per day), set so that they do not affect normal use.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, to harass others or produce hate speech, to send bulk automated queries, to try to break the security of the system, or to spread answers out of context in a misleading way. Group khatm names and invitations must be respectful.

6. Content and licenses

The Quran text, translations, commentaries and recitations belong to their owners and are shown under the terms of their sources; the full list is on the "Sources and licenses" page. You may read content in the app for your own personal, non-commercial use and share it with the share card; you may not copy it in bulk or redistribute it.

7. Limitation of liability

We provide the service with care and "as is". Prayer times are calculated from the method and location you choose and may differ by a few minutes from a local timetable. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from decisions made in reliance on AI explanations. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Termination

You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously breach these terms.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of the country where is registered; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. Questions: .
